1 Museo Conjunto Histórico de Birán

Fidel Castro, Cuba’s former president, was born in the Museo Conjunto Histórico de Birán. Is your trip to Cuba complete unless you visit this wonder? While it is not very crowded and is not advertised in Cuba, it is worth a visit. There are many photographs and souvenirs from Castro’s youth, making this visit to his former home quite interesting. Conjunto Histórico de Birán should be on your bucket list if you have even a passing interest in Cuban history.

2 Casa Natal de Calixto Garcia

Casa Natal de Calixto Garcia is a Holguin museum that displays artefacts and details about the local hero Calixto Garcia. Calixto Garcia was a Cuban general who played an important role in the Cuban War for Independence, which led to the Spanish-American War, which resulted in Cuba’s independence. While this museum is in history, it is worth noting that it is also the birthplace of Calixto Garcia!

In Holguin, Cuba, there is a performing arts theatre called Teatro Comandante Eddy Soul. It has been in operation since 1993, making it one of Holguin’s oldest art theatres. Take it: Teatro Comandante Eddy Soul is well-known both nationally and international for its opera, orchestra, dance performances, ballet performances, and Spanish musicals. This performing arts centre also houses the Teatro Lrico Rodrigo Prats and the Ballet Nacional de Cuba.
